One thing I would add is; don't be afraid of paying to see the cards. Especially early on in the game. If you suspect a loose aggressive player, don't be afraid of paying a couple hundred extra just to see what they were playing, even if you know you are on a loser. That information you just bought will stand you in good stead for the rest of the session. If you never see their cards, you'll never really know where you are in a hand and that will kill your game dead in its tracks. Anyway my two cents. :) Catch up with you soon bud.. The excuses given as to why 3 of the 4 players who had over 20x the all in amount varied and were lame as hell. For example: US players are unable to add to their accounts...BS..we all know its possible to send $$$$ to someone overseas and have them transfer it into our accounts...so that reasoning is out the window As mentioned above: I didn't want to chip him up so he could turn around and beat me...thats the funniest and lamest one ANYONE could have come up with. It speaks highly of their play and anyone who even mildly supports that reasoning is not truely trying to advance their or anyone else's poker literacy. One player "MafiaMama" was the only one who did call....she had roughly 20x the bet as did 3 other (names unmentioned) people who could have and should have called. What did she call with? If memory serves, it was indeed a 9 4 off, which won the hand. Good and proper play and creedo's to that lady. The hand of mention was while I was still in the game, and yes I was playing to WIN. Seeing this pissed me off to no end and I made a short comment at the table, then decided to mum up and post it instead in the forum. Ironically this same situation occured 2 weeks earlier and I chastised those players then, and several were the SAME players. If someone raises we can still fold without being hurt and at least there was a gallant contribution to eliminating 1 more player from the game. "Gallant' is the key word here.
